These Kiwi patches are not
embroidered but rather screen-printed. In 1998-99, a Troop of New
Zealand Gunners were posted to the Royal Horse Artillery in Bosnia. They
had no form of NZ identification so one of the Gunners designed this
badge and it was widely worn In-country by the Kiwis.
This Unit was the first ever New Zealand "Teeth Arms" Unit to
serve in a war zone under the Command of a female Officer. Her name was
Lieutenant Hayley Jane MAY (H996597), RNZA, MNZM. |
